The scene reminds me of Paul Simon's song, A Hazy Shade of Winter, the same one that was re-made by The Bangles. There's a line in the song that always gets to me

"Look around, leaves are brown, and the sky is a hazy shade of winter"to
"Look around, grass is high, fields are ripe, it's the springtime of my life".As if from cold gray of winter, a new revived spirit is born... the springtime of my life. Then again, it's only temporary because we just simply pretended to transition to the springtime of our lives...
