This is Branch Avenue in Southeast DC, heading north towards the Maryland line. This was taken last winter on a cold, damp day (you can see the snow on the side of the roads). Contrast that with today, January 9 2005, where we were greeted with 52 degree weather as we awoke with prospects of breaking 60 degrees later in the week. The latter part of December and the entire month of January to date have been well above normal temperature wise. Let's hope for some seasonal temps sometime soon... I'm melting...
