A seriously bad place for a pen aficionado to frequent (okay, I'll admit it, a pen freak). Although Fahrney's has changed locations and ownership over the years, the store has served as DC's place to go for fine writing instruments since 1929. Last year, to commemorate 75 years, a commemorative Parker Duofold pen was made for the store, complete with a custom wooden box and the seal of the USS Sequoia , the Presidential yacht, placed at the end of the cap (replacing the Duofold logo). I checked their website and it looks like they're out of the fountain pens, but still have the roller balls and ballpoint available (who writes with those???). The pen on the outside of the store looks like a Conway Stewart Churchill Limited Edition lever filler.
