After a two day hiatus where I gluttonously feasted with the family, I finally got around to posting a picture of the corpse flower as I saw it on that brisk Saturday morning of our photo club outing. Incidentally, it was hardly brisk INSIDE the botanical gardens as I perspired my rather large arse off (well, not literally), lugging my cameras and monopod througout the suddenly tropical climate inside the botanical gardens. Unfortunately, as previously stated, we were not fortuitous enough to view (and smell) the full blooming of the flower, but I'm sure it was gloriously large and malodorous. Perhaps we'll have better luck in the next decade.
