This is the Ice Cream Factory and Cafe in Brandywine, Maryland, which I contend serves the best soft serve ice cream in the Metropolitan DC area. Not in the mood for ice cream? The food is equally fantastic, but don't just take my word for it - here's some feedback from the Washington Times, the Washingtonian , and the Washington Post here and here. Without a doubt, one of the best things about living in Brandywine is the Ice Cream Factory and Cafe. Just to think, we don't have to go out of our way to enjoy Washington's best in soft serve ice cream. Oh, and I wasn't paid by the owners to advertise; in fact, we've contributed very well to their bottom line (but well worth it, trust me).
