Photographic Happenstance
Expressing the arbritary nature of life through incidental images of people, places, and things…

Here's a picture of the fountain at the WWII memorial, taken on a cold night in December. I was out walking around town with a good friend of mine, initially only to see the White House Christmas tree, but we just kept walking. The memorial is very serene at night, especially in winter and I'll definitely have to make it back out to the memorial soon. Interesting to note that the WWII memorial was marked with controversy, prejudged as an eyesore before ground was even broken, due largely because of it's location. After having been to the memorial quite a few times, I would have to disagree with the original critics.
